wedding centerpiece ideas?

my bridesmaids are wearing Turquoise and i do not know what color to use with it. does any one have any ideas for centerpieces and bouquets. and my wedding is in AUGUST!
Please ignore the suggestions using live beta fish. The vast majority of your guests will NOT want to suddenly be given a live fish as a pet, so giving away your centerpieces will not work….and male beta fish must not be kept in the same bowl, so a bride who uses live fish in her centerpieces will end up with 20+ seperate fish bowls to take care of…or her only other option is to flush all the fish. It seems like a real bad omen to kill all of the live creatures that were part of the centerpieces for your wedding.
Now, to answer your question on colors, centerpieces and bouquets:
Turquoise goes well with Aqua, ivory and/or white for a Summer wedding. If you go with a beach theme for your wedding, white, ivory and turquoise or turquoise, light turquoise (two shades of blue) and white would look great.
Going with white, ivory and turquoise will save you a lot of money on rental fees, since you will not have to get special blue tablecloths, you can get white or ivory and use turquoise accents like napkins or favors.
For your centerpieces, use round mirrors on each table. Have a larger vase or bowl in the center, surrounded by small glass votives in turquoise. Put turquoise marbles in the bottom of the vase, fill the vase with water, add a drop or two of blue food coloring and put one or two white roses in the water. Float a white candle on top. The light from the votives and the floating candle will be reflected off of the surface of the mirror, making your centerpiece glow. A fantastic effect.
If you go with ivory and/or white as accent colors, your options with flowers are much wider. Since their gowns will be all blue, I suggest going with simple white flower arrangements…such as bundles of white lillies or white roses with ivory wrapped around the stems. The white and ivory will stand out from the blue of their dresses instead of losing the flower arrangements to too much turquoise.
Just some food for thought. Good luck with your wedding!

Turquoise can be a difficult color to coordinate with without actually seeing the color in person. Some have more blue or green which would determine what colors go well with it. Creams/white flowers would work of course (like a Tiffany box) but if you’re looking for another color I would take the dress with you to the florist. This way you can have them pull the actual flowers and see what works and what doesn’t. Good luck!

pink and yellow both go really well with turquoise- think 50’s colors. There is also a lot of variety of items available in pink or yellow for centerpieces, like a hurricane vase filled with lemons, or bowls floating a few gerbera daisy heads in these colors. You could also do colored stones or beads in a flat container surrounding pillar candles, which you can find online in pretty much any color you want. You can even make them yourself if you are crafty and have the time. Good luck!

coral, or peach if you aren’t that brave; also hot pink, or med. pink if you want it toned down.

Turquoise goes beautiful with oranges. Try tiger lilly, birds of paradise, maybe even pair it with orange flower (it is really white) or plumerias.
OR
You could also try the classic rose in red, pink, white, and maybe yellow.

Try something with a light green, like a sage. You can do greenery with that, or use small fishbowls (with goldfish or beta fish to take home) as centerpieces and decorate with seashells strewn about around the bowl (get a bag at the craft store for cheap). Very nice for a summer wedding!

Turquoise and silver are very pretty together. As a wedding coach I’ve put together many a centerpiece idea. If you give me a bit more to go on such as style of wedding ie: simple, elegant, country, contemporary that would narrow it down for more specific help. White roses with silver and turquoise ribbons trailing down would be pretty……votive candles which are turquoise on the tables would accent just about any floral arrangement. Peacock feathers have that turquoise color in them …they could be placed in tall skinny vases with candles placed around. contact me for more info if needed!!
